Shanghai Masters : Pitch to the semi-final Murray, Ferrer beat Andy Roddick
Defending champion Andy Murray cruised into the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters 2011 after defeating Matthew Ebden 6-3, 6-2. On the other parties, Andy Roddick should outclassed third seed David Ferrer.
However, Murray managed to overcome fierce resistance Ebden and perform twice break to win the first set. In the second set, Murray who is seeded two in this tournament go more smoothly and close the game.
In the semifinals, Murray will face non-seeded tennis player Kei Nishikori of Japan, who advanced to his first Masters Series semi-finals after passing 12th seed Alexandr Dolgopolov.
Meanwhile, third-seeded Ferrer who is involved tough duel with Roddick who is seeded ten tournament. Ferrer came out a winner with a 6-7, 6-2 and 7-6.
In the last four, Ferrer will be involved duel with fellow Spaniard, Feliciano Lopez, who beat 15th seed in the quarterfinals by Florian Mayer 6-2, 6-4.
