National Basketball Association (NBA) to apply the new rules in overseeing the use of social networking sites for his athletes. The new rules prohibit athletes access to Facebook and Twitter during a game.
As reported by AFP on Thursday (1/10/2009), the NBA has officially sent a memo message to the 30 basketball teams and took out the rules of using Facebook and Twitter for players, referees, and other team matches.
"During the match, the athletes and game operations personnel are prohibited to use mobile phones, PDAs, or other electronic communication devices and social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter," the fragment content of the message the NBA issued a memo.
The memo states, the ban will take effect 45 minutes before the game started and after the press conference with the media after the game held.
The announcement also included information that was not an absolute prohibition barring them from contact with the Internet.
After the match, the team personnel will be given the freedom the game to access Facebook, Twitter, and electronic communication devices during practice and his meeting with the team game.
