Thus, Taufik has not been able to realize his dream of winning in this tournament. Previously, she also appeared twice in the final in 2006 and 2007, but subsequently defeated champion Lin Dan of China and Malaysian players are now ranked one of the world, Lee Chong Wei.

This result also ensures, Indonesia only managed to bring one of the Japan Open title. The reason, in the men's doubles number occurs all-Indonesian final between Markis Kido / Hendra Setiawan vs Suryatama Dasuki Yonathan / Rian Sukmawan.

Despite the support of fans in Japan, Indonesia, Taufik who is fourth seed Bao Chunlai failed to conquer. China's players who have BWF ranking 25, is always superior in the collection of numbers.

In the first set, Taufik can only keep up the score 3-3, because after that Bao Chunlai continued speeding. Even after winning 12-9, Bao Chunlai could add five successive points to widen the distance to win this set with 21-15.

In the second set, Bao Chunlai playing more aggressively. This strategy shows good results, because he went ahead 6-1. This condition makes Taufik increasingly depressed and hard up. As a result, these tall players end the 39-minute duel for those with a 21-12 victory.

The victory made China's Bao Chunlai been away with two titles. In the previous party going all-Chinese final in women's singles number, in which Wang Yihan able to defend his title after conquering Wang Xin. China is still likely to reach the singles title by winning the fifth daughter of Ma Jin / Wang Xiaoli, who face the host player Miyuki Maeda / Satoko Suetsuna.
