Do not interfere with the Irish government affairs Football


Prime Minister of France said Thursday, the Irish Government should not interfere football affairs after the incident "handbal" dalan World Cup qualifiers seem to be a political affair.

"The French and Irish Governments should not interfere in football matters, leave it to their respective federations," said the French PM Francois Fillon, referring to the world soccer body FIFA, was quoted as saying by AFP.

The comment was left after the Irish PM Brian Cowen called for FIFA to ask re-match was held after the controversial results in World Cup qualifiers, Wednesday, between France and Ireland.

Cowen, speaking in Brussels, said he would discuss it with President Nicolas Sarkozy in a meeting in Brussels.
